This drawing was inspired by a photo of my great-great grandmother (on my mother's side) Synnøve Sandvik, in which she is in the mountains with a walking stick and a little white cat at her side.

The landscape was inspired by a photo in a beautiful book that I inherited from my grandparents (on my father's side), taken in 1872 in Olden, Nordfjord by photographer Knud Knudsen.
